I just feel lost. I have just started a new job, moved into our villa, new fridge delivery, new juicer delivery, temporary kitchen renovation, got a cold, no internet, broken phone and I travel 2 hours to get to my work everyday on public transport! Not to mention just trying to settle back into life in Australia! People had warned me it would be tough...but did I believe them?
So sorry for my disappearing act, and unfortunately it may last until the new year as I settle in...
At least I have managed to land a sweet job with a lovely young lady in Perth. So if you are looking for bridal bouquets or just want a lovely weekly arrangement to your workplace, get in touch...I cant wait to help spread the floral beauty!!!

Daisy Chains
No internet, no phones, Plenty of surfing, fishing, blue skies, family, table tennis, ....
This weekend was pure bliss....with no distractions, I found some time to make little daisy chains with my cute niece. So glad to see that girls still love them as much as I did!

Rose delights
I am lost in all these lovely ruffles!
I noticed that last weekend there was a 'Rose Championship' in Guildford. We thought we would drive out and check it out.
Yes, we were the only non grey haired couple their... but I was blown away by some of the amazing roses on display! This really is one of the joys of living in Perth and at this time of year these delightful blooms are everywhere....I took a million pictures and now want to start a whole area in my garden dedicated to them!
I particularly love the heritage roses and how this single family can transform themselves to look like so many other blooms...I see a peony, a poppy, a gardenia.......

feeling green
Its amazing what you can mix and match from your garden to make a fresh green arrangement... In 5 minutes I had gathered an interesting assortment of foliage, including some delicious smelling mint, and a feature of some healthy green succulents!
After making this arrangement,... I realized that when we move out in two days, I will miss Rhys' Mum's screams of delight whenever she came home to find one of these mixed bouquets in the house!

the bennetts
One of the joys of returning home is hanging out at my sisters house.
We picked the kids up from school yesterday and did some impromptu flower gathering and arranging in the backyard.

lavender and loquats
We are staying at Rhys parents house this week and they tend to keep a "food" garden full of herbs, fruit and vegetables. With lavender, loqhats and a hint of jasmine, this little gathering smells delightful!

Good bye Toronto
Well, Rhys and I are now back in Australia, and it is time for me to say goodbye to the amazing flowers and weddings I was lucky to enjoy at Pink Twig.
I am looking forward to new and exciting flowers and events here in Australia...

Studio Choo
I have been following the girls at Studio Choo for some time now on both their blog and through Design Sponge. As you can imagine I was SO excited to be able to visit their little store on our stop over in San Francisco....This Flower oasis is found in a collaborative store known as The Prairie Collective.
Imagine my excitement when I discovered our stopover in San Fran. coincided with a new set of flower workshops they announced! I thought I had the best luck. The move from our home in Canada, back to our home in Australia, timed perfectly with a fall workshop.........
But, it was not meant to be. The workshops start tomorrow....I leave tonight! I did ask them to please do it a day earlier!! Ah well, I will have to start my own workshops back home and admire the work from afar once again.Meanwhile, here are some of the floral delights I got to see on my visit!

I love San Francisco
From the moment our taxi drove down Gearhy Street from the International Airport I was in love with this perfect city....and a day exploring has only made me more excited about this place!
I loved discovering (even in the cold of fall) some beautiful flowers around the city...seeing them made me even more excited about visiting one of my favourite flower inspirations...studio choo! Hopefully we can get there in the next couple of days!!!!
A drink on our fire escape at sunset....ah how i love San Fransisco
Now we need to have a warm shower and go explore this lovely city tonight!

A rainy day in Gastown
The weather in Vancouver did not come to the party today, but it did force us to seek shelter in a cosy little coffee shop for a good hour or so and sample the tasty local carrot cake!
With renewed energy, we pushed on and checked out a little gem of a flower shop I had heard about. Olla - urban flower project is a sweet little flower shop, whose environmentally and socially conscious approach inspires me. The bright loft studio and urban displays also worked wonders to brighten up my afternoon!
